Parents have to take the initiative for setting up the appropriate ratio of supplements or fats in a child’s diet. Obesity is the growing problem these days and we see most of the children suffering from major imbalance of fats. Eating lot of foods made from vegetable oils, fried and hydrogenated fat foods leads to Infections, allergies and obesity.

Calcium is important for kids who restrict themselves from eating dairy products, some may be allergic and some doesn’t feel like taking milk products. But calcium is an essential supplement for kids. Since it helps in developing strong bones, it is necessary to have food that is high in calcium.
Zinc enhances immune system and prevents infections. It helps in functioning of many different enzyme systems in the body. It is required for brain and sexual development, growth, reproduction, healing wound, appetite control and optimal energy levels.
Eating lot of fruits (strawberries, oranges, nectarines, mango, and peaches) and vegetables like: carrot, yams, squash melon, spinach and broccoli will help the kids gain Vitamin A and Vitamin C Both vitamins are antioxidants and anti-inflammatory.
To over come the problems of obesity, allergies and infections, kids have to be given supplements in proportion.
