Aromatherapy is one kind of medicine that uses different plant materials and aromatic compounds, known as essential oils. The purpose of using these oils is to improve a person’s health or cognitive function and mood. The person who performs aromatherapy is called as ‘Aromatherapist.’
How to use Aromatherapy:
Benefits of aeromatherapy are many, but you need to know how to make use of it.
- Aromatherapy Burner: Add 5 – 10 drops of essential oils to a bowl filled with water and light the candle.
- Quick Inhalation: Put 3 – 4 drops of essential oil on the handkerchief, or on a tissue and let your kid inhale directly for sometime.
- Pillow Effect: Take a napkin and pour 3 – 4 drops of extracted oils on it and tuck it under your child’s pillow.
- Electrical Inhaler: Fill the inhaler with water and add few drops of essential oils. Before you switch on the inhaler, make sure you cover your body completely without letting the fumes pass away from the gaps.
- Bath Water: Add few drops of essential oil extracted from lavender,tea tree, sandalwood, chamomile, geranium and rose, to the child’s bath water. Or the massage with these oils can also be given before the bath.

Aromatherapy may not be able to treat major diseases, but it can surely wash away all the discomforts and symptoms associated with them.
