Parents need a break from looking after their child to take care of other household chores. Much time and energy is required to ensure that the child is safe and well protected. Personal attention cannot always be given. A playpen is useful to keep the child well occupied and well protected. It is no doubt a valuable item as it provides more free time for the parents to attend to other urgent mattes.
