Reading is always considered as a good habit. But it can be a difficult tusk for you to induce this habit into your child. Given below are some very easy tips to make reading fun for your child.
If you set up a special reading time for your child, any time in the morning or at night then it will arouse an interest on him/her for the story.
Allow your child to turn the pages of any book, and don’t worry if they turn more than one page. This will teach them how to get involved or engaged to something.
Play the part of the characters in the book. Try to use different voices for the individual characters and be as expressive as possible as you read. Children have great imagination and you’ll be helping them create movies in their minds as you read. This makes the story more interesting for them.
Children have short attention span, so don’t complete the book in a single sitting. Tell them that the most interesting part is coming up, and read that in the next sitting. This will keep them glued to the story.
These are some very simple tips that will make your child interested in stories and finally in books.
