During their growth years, children are very impulsive and reactive. They happily engage in activities and are most of the times blind to the troubles coming their way.
It is at this stage that a child needs to be shown the right way. Parents should approach their children in a way, so as to impart knowledge and safety norms for the benefit of themselves.
Ways to supervise a child’s actions and behavior:
- Never leave your child alone in the house.
- Never leave your child alone in a car. Your kid can be abducted from here or can also be severely affected by heatstroke.
- Never leave your child alone either inside or near the pool to avoid the dangers of drowning.
- Always keep a telephone or emergency numbers near the poolside.
- Fence the swimming pool at least five feet high to prevent direct access from your house.
- Allow your children to dive into a pool which has a depth of nine feet or more.
- Never leave your child in the middle of the traffic or near traffic areas.
- See that your child does not play on the streets or parking lot.
- Teach your child never to run across the road and to always walk on the sidewalks or pavements.
- Always accompany your child to cross the road.
- Teach your children the traffic rules and make them always look right and left before crossing the road.
Children can be very mischievous and agile, but it is your duty as parents, to guide their way through fun and you will surely feel a lot more relaxed and free of all tensions.
