Finding a quality Child Care Center for your child surely ensures the child’s safety. But it does not make sure that your child is comfortable in the hands of the care giver.

It is necessary that your child has a good comfort level with the care giver. The best way to ensure this is to develop a rapport with the care giver and getting yourself involved in the process of care giving.

Tips to keep yourself involved in the process:

  • Meet the caregiver regularly and enquire how the baby is doing and feeling about the new place.
  • When you meet the caregiver also spare some time to volunteer in the activities at the center. You could also choose to participate in cleaning activities or fixing broken toys.
  • Organize small get-togethers for your child’s co-mates at the center.
  • If possible, volunteer for book reading sessions.
  • If you are extremely busy and can’t find time spend at the center, make sure you drop and pick-up your kid.
  • Join in for field trips and several other events organized by the center. Experts say, “Visiting and participating in events at your child’s provider sends a strong message. It tells your child and your child’s caregiver that you think what your child is doing and learning is important.”

Follow-ups in the Child Care Center by parents builds up mutual trust and rapport between the caregiver and the parents. The child will reap the benefits of this rapport.
